Edward and I are celebrating our one year anniversary this weekend. A year later, and some things stick, while others are gone. I know we had centerpieces at the wedding, and I'm told the food was good, but I only have vague recollections of either. I also know that I spent a lot of time worrying about which dance floor to rent, and while I spent a lot of time on the dance floor, I certainly didn't pay attention to the color. Then there are little random items around our house or in my purse that immediately bring me back to that lovely week in Charleston.
The smell of peonies.
This Baron Wolman photo of Taj Mahal that we have hanging in our house. Our wedding band played a Taj Mahal song, so while the photo is great on its own, it's a happy reminder as well.
The dress I wore the day after the wedding, when we chilled on Sullivan's Island and had nothing to worry about, and I could wear flats. I immediately got a BBQ nacho stain on it, but I still wear that dress anyway. I should add that I did not wear the cute retro updo the model is wearing. I just wore a lot of dry shampoo.
Welcome! I'm Arielle, and this is Scotch & Nonsense. Whether you've come for the home projects, the recipes, or the cocktails, I'm thrilled you're here and I hope you'll stay a bit.
