Am I the only one still in a bit of holiday denial? I know that it's almost mid-December, but it doesn't really feel like it. For one thing, the weather hasn't been the least bit frightful. Mostly, though, I've just been busy. Work, friends, and family obligations have kept my schedule pretty full. This is emphatically not a complaint (what are the holidays about if not gratitude for those very things). It just means that I haven't had much much time to go gift shopping, send cards, or find that perfect artisanal wreath.
How are you feeling this season? Please tell me I'm not the only one who hasn't started shopping. Please.
And, more importantly, what are you looking forward to? What are your favorite traditions? I can't wait to go up to Baltimore and see my family and watch the same handful of holiday movies with my mom and sister. In case you were wondering, Sense and Sensibility and The Long Kiss Goodnight both count as holiday movies in our house. Just writing that out upped my holiday spirit a few notches.
In the meantime, I guess I should get started on sending out holiday cards.
