Sometimes I come across a design trend or look and realize that A. I'm head over heels in love and B. it has absolutely no place in my current home. These factory windows are just glorious in airy, light-drenched spaces. They make less sense in small Victorian row houses.
I'd like to just camp out in this hallway, please. The windows, the herringbone floors, the lighting are just right.
Not a bad way to step out onto your patio.
I love the contrast of black casement windows and white walls. Sometimes white can feel like a missed opportunity, but when paired with these windows it's exactly the right choice.
Add this to the file of maybe someday, along with herringbone wood floors, a beach house, Schumacher Seychelles wallpaper, and, oh right, closet space.
Welcome! I'm Arielle, and this is Scotch & Nonsense. Whether you've come for the home projects, the recipes, or the cocktails, I'm thrilled you're here and I hope you'll stay a bit.
