Ready to swoon?
What do you think? Love the color? Love the tradition? Love the mix?

The other day I was looking for blush pinks when this image stopped me in my tracks. Ben Pentreath has a major talent for mixing bold prints and color with traditional bones. I've never considered myself to be much of a traditionalist, but these spaces may have converted me. Ready to swoon? Can we talk about that blue? Sometimes a color can manage to be both totally unexpected and absolutely necessary to a space. This blue livens up it's historic home without being anachronistic. So many great prints in one place. Sure, the styling choice to put all those coffee table books together makes this room look a little like a very posh home store instead of an actual home, but I'd still shop there. I am immediately wondering what room I could paint in this killer eggplant color. My living room? Bedroom? Guest room? Ahhmazing. More of those books (where do you put your drink?), but check out that awesome ottoman. Ben Pentreath clearly understands that the phrase "a single pop of color" needs to be retired, like, yesterday. I will never not love a wild urban garden. How lovely is this? What do you think? Love the color? Love the tradition? Love the mix? All images via Ben Pentreath. LET'S CONNECT! READY FOR MORE?

Yes! The way he plays with pattern reminds me of a fashion designer named Dom Streater. So good. I love when patterns that I wouldn't think of putting together look like they always should have been. It is a serious skill.
