Maximalism brings me joy.
So much joy. I like color and pattern and shelves full of books and the spillover books stacked up by the wall. I like floor-to-ceiling gallery walls with a mix of paintings and sculptural pieces. Give me abundance, a little untidiness, and a sense of fun.
So how to reconcile the two? It's surprisingly easy to appease both my maximalist aesthetic with my minimalist values. Granted, it takes time and no small amount of willpower. But we can totally do this.
